This course combines NZQA Unit Standards 17600 and 25045 to provide learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to work safely at height in New Zealand workplaces. Learners will develop an understanding of height-related hazards, risk control measures, and their responsibilities under New Zealand health and safety legislation. The course covers the correct selection, inspection, and use of height safety and fall prevention equipment, in line with WorkSafe New Zealand guidance. This training is suitable for workers who are required to work at height, including those in maintenance, utilities, and related industries. On completion, learners will be better prepared to identify risks, follow safe work procedures, and work safely at height.
